Birth Doula

Deciding to have a doula at your birth is an investment in yourself and the well-being of your birth space. In the time spent with each other many things may happen, there will be space to share concerns, fears, joys, & expectations you may desire from me.

 

We will go over educational topics such as the importance of your breath, positions that are helpful for laboring, and what my role is in your birth. There will be time for you to receive a prenatal massage to help relax and prepare your mind, body, and soul. 

 

If have your partner present during our visits I will teach him some techniques he can do to support you. My role is to not take the place of your partner but rather help enhance the birth space the two of you share. Your partner shares an active role in your birth by enhancing the oxytocin that your body is putting out, time spent with just the two of you can help progress the birth process. 

 

Overall, this is your birth and I will be by your side to advocate,  support, and educate you and your family. Allow me to serve & support you in your birth so this can be a beautiful birthing experience.

 

What I offer: 

• 2 prenatal visits starting at 36 weeks, each one lasting from 1-2 hours 

• 60-minute Prenatal massage

• Educational birth plan session to prepare you and your family for the labor

• “The birth” Comfort measures Counter pressure/ hip squeeze relation techniques
